    Plato was one of the most relevant ancient Greek philosophers. He was a disciple of Socrates, who deeply influenced in his thought, philosophy, and teaching. According to Plato, Socrates was the most virtuous man of Athens at that time and he admired him for his intelligence and inquisitive mind. However, the elites of Athens accused Socrates of disbelieving of the gods and misleading the youth, for which he was judged by a popular assembly and sentenced to death by drinking cicuta. Plato was very sad with this result and wept for his master.
