The European, Spanish, Columbian Exchange was the mass trading of flora, fauna, people, and diseases between the New World and Old World.

    This was the Columbian exchange, named after Christopher Columbus, who contributed to the fact that the continents were now in contact and that the exchange was now possible.

    It's not called the European Exchange because it involved more than one continent: it actually involved all of the continents.
