    Explanation:

    Mexico's territory was made out of almost half of what are now the United States, central america and current Mexico, when Santa Ana rose to power, the United States had already been sending settlers to Texas and supported by them they started rioting demanding independence from Mexico, to eventually unite to the Union, that strategy of populating a mexican state with american settlers to then make them riot and rebel against the Mexican government was used again with California Arizona and other states.
