    Explanation:

    Most of the people in Byzantine empire spoke latin. As more regions in the world conducted international trade with Byzantine empire, this language was slowly spread and integrated to original language in those region.

    As per today, There are a lot of similarities between Italian, French, Portuguese, Spanish, and Romanian language. All of it happen because both of them originated from Latin that combined with local language at the time. Some regions in North America spoke latin because in the past several of these European nations fought for influence within its tertiary.
