The Akkadian and Babylonian societies were one of the most if not the most advanced of their time. These societies had numerous innovations that made them great, but they also had some limitations. Among the innovations of these societies were managing to construct the biggest (and very possibly the most beautiful and best organized) city in the world, developed the first positional system number, and they were able to perform advanced arithmetic calculations and solve quadratic equations. Among the limitations of these societies were that the desert was a big factor that they didn't managed to grew into a much larger and stronger empire, their resources were limited so depended on importing them, and the turmoils were a common thing with constant changes in the rulers and politics.

The Akkadian and babylonian societies have contributed a lot in the civilization of the societies. These societies were the first one to build and live in cities. They created the idea of living in societies and planned cities.

They also created the calender for 12 months and were considered as the first one to introduce the code of conduct. They have contributed a lot in civilisation process. Which were later copied by other societies.
