How were towns built in the 1500s in medieval europe?

In Later Medieval Europe, houses were built with a mixture of stone and wood, creating a unique style, tiles were used on roofs and the windows had glass. Spread over two levels, these homes would have space for both family and servants to live. Towns were built by Lords to show off the wealth a lord had and were sprawled with a network of houses. The lord generally had a large manor, and many of these towns had grammar schools and a reasonably well-developed infrastructure with crops and facilities.
