Why did William Bradford and his fellow Separatists moved from England to Holland, and eventually to the New World?

    William Bradford and his fellow separatists moved from England to Holland to escape persecution by King James I of England. He later (1620) emigrated to the Plymouth Colony. He was a part of the "Mayflower Compact", first document of governance of that Colony, He was many times Governor of the Colony.
