The may 4th movement in China officially started with the protest about Treaty of Versailles rejecting China's interest with weak Chinese leaders present. This movement asked for reforms in the government, particularly bring Western Ideals in China which then had a strong Traditional Confucian Edicts that the student's felt as weak and backwards.
