They gave him the harsh epithet ha-Meshuggah (english: "the Madman" or "the Possessed") During the Middle Ages different Western and Byzantine Christian masterminds believed Muhammad to be a p3rv3rted, (If you catch my drift) deplorable man, a bogus prophet, and even the Antichrist, as he was much of the time found in Christendom as a blasphemer or controlled by the evil spirits.
