F. scott fitzgerald referred to the 1920s as the jazz age, and langston hughes referred to young people at this period as "flaming youth" what did they mean by these statements and how accurate were they in depicting the people and the era?

    This was an interesting and accurate description of the people of the time. The younger people in the 1920s were awakened and alive with a need for something new. They questioned everything from morals to traditions, things people had just lived by for so long without wondering why. The young people were movers and shakers and wanted to change the world.
