The 2010 consensus allowed the people of the United States to claim more than one racial classification. The people who reported more than one race were large in numbers. It allowed the comparison of multiple-race combinations in America. This has allowed people to believe that one single race is not the dominating race in the US and interracial marriages also increased after this.
