How did the development of renaissance humanism encourage study of the classics, promote secularism, and lead to the ideal of virtue?

    The development of renaissance ideals, especially in regards to humanism, encouraged the ideas of increased promotion of oneself, especially in the means of secularism due to the fact that things became less centered around religious beliefs and more so on practical ones.
