America's society was fully changed due to the western settlement. As the nation was expanding people moved to the western part in the hope of getting cheaper land. Fertile grasslands, availability of natural resources (gold and silver in nevada) attracts more people towards western side of the country.

    Explanation:

Expansion of west ward side of the country leaves a imprint on the history of American civilization. In 1800s people rushed there in search of:

Cheap land Good transportation facilities Opportunities of mining both gold and silver Temperate grasslands (Huge production of wheat) - Commercial graining. Abundance of domestic animals in the grasslands promotes cattle industry. Natural resources promotes establishment of manufacturing industries and availability of good professional positions.
