Why did the dred scott v. sandford decision anger northerners?

    Because Dred Scott was brought to a Northern State of what is known now as Minnesota (this territory was allowed from having slaves) and he was still a slave. Then he was denied his freedom even though his owner left him in the free territory when he went back to the South.
