    At the end of World War II, the USSR and the United States divided the Korean territory into two zones. It was called the 38th parallel division, in which the Soviet Union kept the north part of the territory and the United States the south. That was the beginning of North Kore, supported by the Russians and of South Korea, supported by the United States.
