This structure of government characterized by the separation of powers in order to avoid authoritarianism from any of them is called the Madisonian model.

    Explanation:

This structure relied upon separation of powers and on the checks and balances system. This way, Madison argued, no minority in the government could become tyrannical. Madison and the other Framers were following Montesquieu's ideas that "power stops power".

Madison's idea of democracy had as one of it's main goals to avoid the government to become tyrannical and opressor to its people. That's why the Madisonian model cen be better understood as a means to avoid exxagerated growth of State power.
