B. One way in which the passage illustrates the economic development of China under the Song dynasty isby how their trading system works. They trade with certain countries and empires get what they cantproduce and give what they can produce which others can't. Silk was very popular since it was veryunique. Having things to trade and be sold increases their social status. But economically they were inpretty good standings. "The wise and noble Queen Blanche [of Castile], the mother of King Louis IX of France [reigned 1226-1270], had infinite goodness. She ruled the kingdom of France with such skill and care until her son wasold enough to accede to the throne that no man could have done better.
