    When Thomas Paine published his essay "Common Sense", he wanted to spread out the patriotic sentiment among all the people. He wrote the essay in a clear and concise way, contrary to other essays written in a more philosophical language. In the text, Paine wanted to override the doubts and reluctance to free from Britain. According to hi, England was only exploiting the resources and labor of the 13 Colonies and was not giving back any retribution.
