Wilson knew what the Europeans' harsh peace would do and history proven him right. The Federal Republic of Germany was plunged into the inconceivable financial condition and it took Hitler to induce them out, and let's simply say that we tend to all understand that Adolf Hitler did quite a political economy. When WWI the European nations invoked a harshly written agreement on the Germans. This plunged the Germans into a depression, within which they failed to set out of till Adolf Hitler arrived.

Well first off it was better than violence use to make peace like Europe did and Wilson's idea was Peace with Justice not peace with death.
