What decision by the United States provoked the bombing of Pearl Harbor?

    Answer: Japan thrived for power and land. They began to invade china who was a close ally with the U. S in the Second Sino-Japanese War. Everything in Japan ran off oil. Cars, Planes, Ships, Factories. and Japan needed it to sustain itself. Japan had no oil on their land. Their only way of getting oil was from America. So after Japan invaded China america stopped Sending oil to Japan in an attempt to peacefully retaliate. But Japan retaliated by bombing Pearl harbor.
