    Direct Democracy would be hard to manage in a country with a population of more than 350 million people spread across 50 different States.

    In Ancient Greek City-States with not more than a few thousand people, direct democracy would have worked similarly to a modern community centre.

    Local management might be easier and everyone's concerns can be taken into account. However, on a megascale like the size of the United States, it becomes increasingly difficult.
