Which group created an empire and

invaded Russia and Muslim states?

Starting with the legendary Genghis Khan, the Mongols, a people from the steppes north of China and south of Siberia, launched a wave of sucessful invasions of sorrounding lands and kingdoms, they built the largest empire of human history for those times. The descendants of Genghis Khan invaded and conquered Russia and many other states in Asia, including Muslim lands, and kept pressing on Europe for several centuries.
