How have wars, emergencies, and the media contributed to the expansion of presidential powers?

    with the advance of tech and the media (and both), all american people look to the leader and the leader looks to pass 'it' downwards. in order for him/her to do so, expansion of powers is a necessary thing. well, maybe not actual expansion but more like re-evaluation of the constitution and the powers written within. some amendments and articles have been added but more like bringing the constitution into the 20th and 21st century and covering the advancement of tech and times.

    So basically the president has control over media and emergency situations, which eventually leads up to them expanding their powers
