One of the things that women fought ferociously for was Abolition. Women then were active in society to try to remove institution of slavery. Another movement was the Women's Temperance movement. It was the movement to ban alcohol and finally this is what ended the prohibition in the early 1900's. Temperance went a bit longer but eventually the women won their fight. The main thing that women really fought for was Suffrage or the right to vote. Lastly and most importantly, women fought for the right for education.
