    It's TRUE

    Explanation:

Otto von Bismarck is known as the Iron Chancellor for a reason, he was a violent politician, and his approaches were based on the confrontation. For instance, his campaign against the Christians in the 1870s, or his strong aversion to socialism. One way or another, these ideas were well received during his period as Chancellor, but when Wilhelm (or William, if you wish) became the Emperor, the ideas of these two leaders were opposite. In the first moment, Bismarck was happy to be the chancellor of someone whom he knew since childhood, what made he think that could control it (yeah, Bismarck knew Wilhelm since he was a kid). But soon Bismarck realise that it was not how he wanted. They did not agree about anything, and Bismarck's strong spirit and the constant necessity of solving the problems through violence were not accepted by the new emperor. However, what led Wilhelm to force Bismarck to resign it was that according to his counselors, Wilhelm would not be a good emperor with a strong Chancellor next to him. Then, Bismarck was forced to resign on March 18th, 1890.
