Why was there no executive under the articles

    During the Articles of Confederation, the States believe that if one person ruled the nation they would end up like the previous king, so they had no one head executive. On top of that the states like to run themselves (states sovereignty) so they didn't want a federal government.

    The government back then believed that it wasn't necessary
