    The SALT (strategic Arms Limitation Talks) talks and the ABM treaty were between the US and Soviet Union. The SALT Talks was an agreement between the USA and Soviet Union (USSR) over the matter of Arm limitation. Basically this was two round process a bilateral conference and corresponding international agreement.

    The strategic Arms Limitation Talks introduced the START I and START II and both the STARTs (START I and START II) aimed to proposed control or limit on the capacity of multiple nuclear weapons and other restrictions on the number of each side.

One such treaty was SALT, It was a series of negotiations between Soviet Russia and USA. The talks for the treaty began on November 1969 and ended in January 1972. The talks resulted in Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty and both agreed on two documents, first was SALT one for the Anti Ballistic Missile Treaty and the Interim agreement on the Limitation of Strategic offensive Arms. The SALT two was signed by president Jimmy Carter and Leonid Brezhnev.
