What features of the nomads' culture and society rendered them ideal agents for transmitting technology, trade goods, crops, and diseases between different cultural zones

    Since they never settled in one place for long periods of time they were able to transport things long distances. For example the crops they might plant some seeds and suddenly have to keep moving.
