    Answer: It made it harder for slaves because with higher temperature comes more crops to grow and harder working conditions.

    Explanation: This is my first answer so i will try my best, When its hot you sweat more and its harder to do difficult tasks when exposed to high temperatures, with warmer weather comes more crops, as everybody knows plants grow exponentially more in the warmer months than any others.
