    I would slightly challenge the idea the the All-India Muslim League was created already "in the late 1800s." The idea for it was there at that time, but the establishment of the group as a political partty happened in 1906. By the end of the 1800s, though, it's true that the formation of a Muslim political party to operate in India on a national level becoming a priority.

    Muhammad Ali Jinnah served as leader of the All-India Muslim League since 1913. As the decades went on, the group pressed for a separate nation for Muslims. That led to the formation of a separate nation of India (predominantly Hindu) and a separate nation of Pakistan (predominantly Muslim). Jinnah then served as the first Governor-General of Pakistan, holding that office from the independence of Pakistan in August 1947 until his death in September 1948.
