Why was Dred Scott not freed as a result of the Supreme Court's decision?

    Because he was not born in that free state. so a slaveowner could bring his slave where ever he wanted.

    The supreme court's decision stated that slave owners were allowed to bring slaves from a 'slave' state to a 'free' state, and back, for, like cattle, where you could bring it around, and it will still be your, the slave can also be brought around. Dred Scott had said that because he was brought to a free state, therefore he is free. This case does not work, for if this is true, then everything must stay at home, or else it wont be yours anymore
