Why did the Japanese attack Pearl Harbor?

A. They believed the US was planning an invasion of Japan

B. They wanted to expand their territory and feared the US naval fleet in Hawaii

C. It was revenge for the US attacking Hiroshima and Nagasaki

D. They attacked because the US had declared war on Japan's allies

    i believe the answer is A. They believed the US was planning an invasion of japan. I could be wrong but it sounds about right
