    Romantic era started when the tyrannical and repressive rule of King Louis XVI was protested by many in his kingdom.

    Many English writers like Byron and Shelley started to create literature which highlighted the cruel monarchs' tyrannical rule.

    Classical societies of Greece and Italy were highly appreciated by these Romantic writers. After the revolutionaries attacked on the prison of Bastille in France, the oppression and revolt grew large in number. Guillotining was practiced which was highly criticized in the literatures Romantic writers.
