    Explanation: The Treaty of Tordesillas was made between Spain and Portugal in order to solve conflicts over the lands explored by Colombus. There wa a line of demarcation from pole to pole 100 leagues west of the Cape Verde Islands. Spain was given the right to the lands in the west side of the line and Portugal was given the lands in the east.
