    John Wycliffe was a Protestant theologian from England in the 14th century. He is known for his translating the Bible into a common language (English) for the common people. He speaks out against the corruption, practices and believes in the Catholic Church. He also criticized the pope position and the system of the ecclesiastical hierarchy.

    He criticized the Catholic church for not allowing the people to teach our question the clergy. He also criticized the belief that if people didn't accept the Pope as the head of the church they would go to Hell.
