    During the Inquisition, the Jews were persecuted by members of the Christianity.

    The Inquisition consisted of Catholic institutions that had the intention to repress what was considered "herectic". The Jews were targeted by the Inquisition in Spanish and Portuguese territories, colonies and territories overseas included.
