    There was no judicial system.

    Explanation:

The Articles of Confederation is known for having many weaknesses, it gave little to no power to the federal government which made it hard for them to do anything efficient.

Under the Articles of Confederation, the federal government actually had barely any power to regulate or control commerce. This made things a lot more complicated and the United States started to lose ties that they had with previous countries that they would trade with. It was essential for the federal government to have some control over trade, since the people couldn't just do it alone.

Also under the Articles of Confederation, the federal government was not allowed to tax citizens directly. In order to get money, they had to outright ask the states, which most of the time, resulted in not getting any money. This made it very difficult for the United States to pay back any previous war debt or to make the United States an overall powerful country.

With the Articles of Confederation, there was no judicial system, only a legislative body. This made it very hard to pass any laws or even enforce them. Many states had to agree, to pass a law, so it was very difficult to get anything done.
