    "Fifth consecutive win" could be a bit misleading to some, because the only Democratic Party president prior to Truman was Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR). But FDR was elected to the office of president four times, before the 22nd Amendment imposed a two-term limit on presidents.

    The three presidents prior to FDR (Harding, Coolidge and Hoover) had been Republicans.
