    Explanation:

    "Douglas MacArthur" was the American army commander in the Philippines when Japanese invade the Philippines in 1941 he was ordered to retreat at that day he stated "I shall return" and he left and he returned to liberate the Philippines in January 1945 and on that day he made a radio broadcast in which he said "people of Philippines, I have returned" then his forces liberated the Philippines.
