What was the greatest effect of muckrakers on the Progressive movement?

    Muckrakers were writers that exposed the things many big businesses wanted to stay buried. They showed the ugly side of big businesses and exposed their problems. Among those problems were the states the factories were in and also the harsh labor conditions that existed there. This exposure led Americans to seek change and reforms.
