Why is buying stocks based on speculation a risk?

    Stocks obviously and I would think you have looked at the history of the stock you want to buy and seen it’s rates. It’s a risk because you can’t ever tell the future and the stock can come crashing down and won’t even give you a chance to collect profit off of it.
