This act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom which was passed on March 25, 1807 intends to abolish the slave trade of the British Empire. Through the international strength of the British Empire, it put pressure on other nations to end their own slavery trade. One of these is the United States. It abolished its twenty year slave trade in the same month.
