How did the lack of equal educational opportunities hurt women

Most of them did not know how to read or write, and did not attend school.

It hurt because we wanted to be treated equal and by not having those rights it made us feel unequal and hurt us because it made women think down on themselves and hurt them making them feel like they werent good enough to have these educational rights when we did deserve them
