Economic migrants migrate from their country due to bad economic conditions and not because of the fear of persecution on the basis of religion, race, political opinion and nationality.

As per UN DESA (Department of Economic and Social Affairs), the number of economic migrants has now reached 272 million, it has even outpaced the world's population. Economic migrants are not refugees.
