Have there been other times in U. S. history when people living in the country had relatives and ties to the country we were disputing with? What actions were taken by the United States?

    World War II, the Japanese-Americans living in the country after Pearl Harbor. The Japanese-Americans on the West Coast (as far as I know) were sent to interment camps.
