During the Renaissance, humanism was a type of act that validated and upraised the importance and power of human beings. It was dramatically influenced by artists and budding writers, studying classical ideas, such as Dante, and Petrarch. These ideas were not emphasized in the Middle Ages, and grew with new inventions, such as the printing press, and ideas.
