    A. True. Queen Victoria came to throne and ruled from 1837 until 1901 during a period known as the Victorian Era. Queen Victoria oversaw a period of an economic boom for Britain and strong imperialistic influence over regions of Africa, India, and East Asia, included China. There were major breakthroughs in medicine and anesthesia, greatly improving the quality of hospitals which also lead to an increase in the British population to over 32 million by the end of her reign. The Victorian Era was generally peaceful, with Britain seeing very little action in wars with a vast improvement in technological interest and architectural design including the creation of Big Ben. Queen Victoria is still the longest reigning monarch in British history.
