What were the weaknesses of the present system of government under the articles of confederation that was implied by Hamilton?

Hamilton implied that there were many weaknesses of the present system of government under the articles of Confederation. One of the weaknesses was that each state was only given 1 vote regardless of it's size. The national government didn't have the power to tax is another weakness.
