What did mexico agree to do under the terms of the 1848 treaty of guadalupe hidalgo?

    Under the terms of the 1848 Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, Mexico agreed to give up its control over northern provinces of California and New Mexico which included Arizona, Utah, Nevada and some parts of Colorado. Likewise, Mexico accepted Rio Grande as the boundary of Texas.
