Benin's government want to promote and keep the African culture, to keep this culture is really hard because the artists flee their land, there are not opportunities for this local artists, they try to find it in another country or continent.

Benin it's a French speaking country, they try to keep the African Essence, we can hear about the African dancing and rituals, but the slavery is part of their history, you have to know history to not repeat it.
